The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani came into existence in 1969 as per Haryana Act No. 11 of 1969 with its head-quarters at Chandigarh later shifted to Bhiwani in January 1981. The Board started with a staff of 100 officials allocated from Punjab University, Chandigarh and conducted the first examination of matriculation level (10th Class) in 1970. The Board started conducting the Middle examination with effect from 1976 to improve educational standards at Middle level. The Board adopted 10+2 pattern of education and conducted XII class examination under the new scheme with effect from 1987. It started conducting 10+2 Vocational examination in 1990, keeping in view the need and relevance of vocationalization of education in the backdrop of the fast changing economic scenario. Further, in order to reach out to the unreached, the Board established Haryana Open School in 1994 and thereby started bringing into the fold of education those who could not get formal education or could not continue it due to varied reasons.

Now, endowed with the strength of more than 800 officials/officers and examining 10 lakh + (one million +) candidates in examinations conducted by the Board, elaborate arrangements are made by the Board for the conduct of these examinations in a fair manner devoid of copying and other malpractices. Besides performing the function of conducting examination, the Board is earnestly committed to its long term goal of raising the standard of education in the State.

Keeping in view the twin ideals of maintaining sanctity as well as reliability of examinations on the one hand and overall improvement in the quality of education on the other, the Board has recently initiated various innovations in the different facets of school education. The wide spectrum of these reforms though unfolded with curbing unfair practices in the examination and stringent punishment laid out for the same, it entailed a reality check done on almost very aspect of the functioning of the Board and strong doses of reforms being introduced whenever and wherever required.

Substantial use of information technology has made this board a technology - savy organization and this has enormously benefited all the stakeholders, particularly the students. We are indeed exploring the other means and ways of getting innovative in our endeavour to improve the quality of education in the State of Haryana.

This Board has introduced the semester system of education from academic year 2006-2007. It is the first Board in India to do so. It is also the first Board to introduce relative grading, CCE (Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation) in all board classes i.e. Middle, Secondary & Senior Secondary.

The University of Ajmer was established on 1 August 1987. It's name was changed from University of Ajmer to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer vide Rajasthan State Gazette dated 5 May, 1992. The University was registered in the year 1993 under section 12(B) of U.G.C.Act,1956.

Since the day of its inception the University was entrusted with a major responsibility of conducting the examination of nearly 1.5 lakh students of colleges spread over the six divisions of the state. In 1990 teaching began in History, Political science , zoology, botany and mathematics departments. In 1991, M. Phil, teaching programmes were initiated by History, Political Science, Botany departments and later promising job oriented courses such as PG diplomas in Environmental Technology, Microbiology and lab. technology and instrumentation were started. In 1993, after shifting to new campus, departments of microbiology, foods and nutrition, applied chemistry, management studies and computer applications were created offering M. Sc., MBA, PG Diploma and Ph. D. programmes.

In a short span of seven years academic wing of University came out with enormous research work in the form of publications, Ph. D. thesis and research projects. In 1998 university started PG programme in Environmental Science, and in 2000 PG programmes in Botany Zoology, Business Economics , Commerce, Population Studies, History, Political Science and Computer Science with specialisations that did not exist other colleges in Ajmer.

There are 214 Government and Private colleges affiliated to this University. These affiliated colleges are spread over 9 districts of the state of Rajasthan. The University conducted examination of 1,35,000 students for various courses during the 2007-08 session.

The University has its own beautiful campus. It is situated near the Ghooghra village on the Pushkar bye pass, Jaipur Road (NH-8). It is seven kilometers from the city of Ajmer

  • How to Apply:- Eligible candidates have to apply online through the company’s website only. No other means / mode of application are acceptable.

  • General Instructions:-
    1. Before filling the online Application form , the candidate must ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria with respect to age , educational qualifications etc. in respect of the post for which he / she is making the application and that the particulars furnished in the application form are correct in all respcts.In case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility criteria , and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrect information or has suppressed any material fact(s) , his / her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is / are detected even after the appointment, his / her services are liable to be terminated.

    2. Admission to written examination will be purely provisional without verification of age / qualification / experience, etc of the candidates with reference to documents. Decision of the company in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate , the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken , the documents to be produced for the purpose of conduct of written test , interview , selection , etc. and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidates. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the company in this regard.

    3. The company reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standard etc., in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test and interview commensurate with the number of vacancies.

    4. Eligible candidates have to appear for a written test and interview at their own expense at the venue and date notified by the company.

    5. If shortlisted for interview, candidates have to produce all the requisite certificates / documents in original with Xerox copies for verification at the time of interview. Failure to do so shall lead to disqualification of the candidate.

    6. Candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per the administrative requirements & discretion of the company.

    7. Any request for change of address / change of centre for written test / interview shall not be entertained.

    8. The company reserves the right to cancel any of the centers and / or add some other centers depending upon the response, administrative feasibility etc. The company also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the centers other than the one he / she has opted for.

    9. The company has the right to reject any application / candidature at any stage without assigning any reason and the decision of the company shall be final.

    10. Appointments of selected candidates will be subject to his / her being declared medically fit by the authorized Medical Officer , satisfactory report about his / her character and antecedents by the Company’s Vigilance Department and completion of all other pre recruitment formalities to the complete satisfaction of the company. Further, such appointment shall also be subject to Service and Conduct rules of the Company.

    11. The Company takes no responsibility for any delay in submission of online applications or communication. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit online applications well before the last date.

Maharaja Ganga Singh, University Bikaner Genesis & Present Status

The establishment of the Maharaja Ganga Singh University at Bikaner marks an important milestone in the evolution of tertiary education in Rajasthan, area-wise the largest state of the Republic of India. Tertiary education, which modern universities develop and deploy for the benefit of humanity, aims for university, but at the same time, it is now being increasingly realized, that it must also prioritize the discovery of solutions for the territory in which it is located. The Maharaja Ganga Singh University would strive, through teaching, research and extension, to achieve a better understanding of the problems of the region in which it is located, in a region vastly different from almost all other regions in India and aboard.

The Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner has come into existence in a terrain exhibiting several ecological constants not found, on any comparable scale, in the rest of India or, even, in the rest of the world which contains several large deserts but not the type of life-vibrant arid lands as the Thar desert on whose northern-east periphery the Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner is located.

After the assent of the Honourable Governor of Rajasthan University of Bikaner has been established under the Bikaner University Act, 2003 which was notified in the Rajasthan Gazzette on June 7, 2003. This statute terminated the territorial jurisdiction of M.D.S. University, Ajmer and the affiliation of 69 colleges located in the districts of Churu, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bikaner was shifted to this University. As a result, 92,444 students were enrolled and examined in various Faculties by the University in 2004 for Bachelor and Master Degrees and some diploma courses.

Bikaner University, Bikaner has been renamed as Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner vide Gazette notification No. F. 4 (14) Vidhi/ 2/ 2008 dated October 03, 2008. It is made and promulgated by H.E. the Government of Rajasthan on 2nd day of October, 2008.

From its inception, it is imparting quality education and building up students who can face the further challenges. With increasing number of undergraduate and Post graduate affiliated colleges, the numbers of enrolled students have also increased sharply and about 1.90 lakh students are likely to appear in examination of 2010-11.

The University is developing its own infrastructure in the village Shrah Nathania situated 10 km. away from Bikaner Railway Station towards West side of the city on N.H. 15, Jaisalmer Road. The office of the Vice Chancellor and other administrative office are already working in this campus. University is having 1127.07 bighahs land for the development appropriate.
